Good crappie lakes?

Thinking of braving the wind on Sunday, using the wind I mean...
Finding a good crappie lake and using jigs on a slip-bobber and letting the wind do the work, any ideas on lakes/places??? Ben

Southern San Jose lakes, which Calero is the best for crappie if you can find them. I found a small school of them in front of the first dam last time I was there.

It's a drive,... but you can get BASS too!      CLEARLAKE!!    and full of mercury!

Some of those lakes (not all) have high mercury levels You should investigate which ones if you intend to dine on any of the fish caught down there. I'll see if I can find the info.

Lake Sonoma can be good also.

lexignton and vasona in south SJ haven't been producing crappies for me, i did get a couple of small trouts at lexington two weeks ago on crank bait. no luck with bass so far. and the water level's gotten pretty low. i do advise against eating those fish though.

 Looks like good weather lite wind fog in the AM and 80 by 1.  101 won't be too bad but 37 will be a parking lot.
If the ocean is windy I'll hit it Sun or Mon
