Hi Everyone, Brand new to kayak angling. Just picked up a new to me Revo 13.  Almost finished (but is it ever?) gathering all my gear and looking forward to a first time outing on it. If there are any newbie trips in the Bay Area coming up let me know.

Hi Ron,

Welcome to the group. Almost all of the trips are located in the members only section, you need 9 more posts in order to access.

I would recommend starting out in the local lakes in order for you to get familiar with your setup. Once you feel comfortable with how everything works, then head out on the bay, as long as you know the tides and currents are favorable. If your ultimate goal is to go out in the ocean, I recommend a sea kayak class, and a surf zone class.

Thanks for the info Mark. That makes sense to me. I’ll try Del Valle soon. I am also in gold country quite a bit and was planning on Don Pedro trips as well.

No, that can never be finished. Nice kayak, btw.
Are you pondering what I’m pondering?
