I have an upcoming mothership trip to SoCal in 2 weeks and bought a few of their go-to weedless jig heads while I was there. Catch is, they cost an arm and a leg. So I decided to make a cheaper version. I think this will also benefit us up here in NorCal for rockfishing.

Materials:

- Any rigid, small diameter wire. Piano wire maybe. I got one from Ace hardware for $1.39/4-5pcs I think. You may have to play around with a different diameter wire.
- drill
- super glue or any glue of your choice. I used some kind of silica then add super glue over it.

Instructions:

1. Drill a small hole on top of you jig head. Be careful. Doing this will produce some sharp burr. Shave them off as needed.
2. Cut wire to length. Bend in half
3. Insert both ends in hole. You may have to cut some more to get the proper length. Add glue of choice
4. Done!

I haven’t tested it out yet, but it looks promising.

Noob.  Just ditch the wire, drop jig straight down, reel up until you feel slight tap tap tap....and bam set the hook on the kelp stalk.
If you ain't first, you're last.
