Had a quick trip this morning before the weather blew back in. Water was 57 and clearing up nicely. I decided to concentrate on crappie. Was using a small swimbait on a ball head and caught more than I could count in the short amount of time I was fishing. Lots and lots of back to back fish. My highest count was 8 fish in 8 casts! They were willing biters in 5-10 feet of water around reeds and brush. Most were cookie cutter 12.5-13.5 inches. Lots of fun on light tackle.

I’m ready for the warm spring to get here. There are signs of it starting all over the place!

Awesome! Looks like great fun.

Do you know of a place that rents kayaks at a reasonable price there? Catching my first crappie is something I'd love to check off.

Not much for “rental” kayaks up here...

Feel free to hit me up if you want to get OTW

I’ve got a hobie revo for a “guest kayak” I can put you on some fish
