That's neat. Here is a direct link to the paper: https://www.nature.com/articles/s41598-019-39356-2

The basic summary is that whenever killer whales show up at Southeast Farallon Island the white sharks leave.

"...intraguild interactions among co-occurring marine top predators..."

And I thought my field (computer science) was filled with silly lingo. I can see that we're rank amateurs compared to these guys.

Pretty interesting on the substance, though. The bad news is that when the killer whales show up, "Tagged white sharks relocated to other aggregation sites, creating detectable increases in white shark density at Ano Nuevo Island."

I was also daydreaming about an orca sound generator but that might attract them and they'd become frisky or hostile,  yikes... :smt006

One bite or bump stuff...I'm glad this topic puts white sharks in perspective but it did say their "liver" alone can way a ton...are we crazy?  Either way, Good Resurrection day to ya' for commenting...Let's Fish! :smt006
