Hi all,

I am a new kayak angler. I currently own the vibe 130 and slowly outfitting it.  I'm located in sacramento and plan to explore the delta, dwc, and the sierra lakes this summer.  I grew up trout fishing in the sierras. I'm a biologist by trade who works in the field of water resources management. Having also worked for cdfw collecting fisheries data, I've always been intrigued by kayak angling.  I look forward to getting after this summer.  Thanks!

No, I collected coded wire tag data from fall run Chinook and did angler survey work up here in Sacramento. I have yet to catch herring but your blog is one of the first I encountered a few years back! very informative
