I'll bet after cutting it up there won't be a scrap the size of a gnats ass left.
How much does that sell for in the restaurant when they pay over $5000 a pound for that thing???

$312.50 an ounce just to break even so likely $700-$800 an ounce

This is the first fish of the season, so it is very symbolic. My understanding is that the winning bidder is paying for the marketing value this provides their restaurant chain, rather than the tuna itself.

Oh BOY that’s some “SPENCIVE” Advertising!!!!! But he’s only serving ONE piece that day... playing the people if you ask me.
