IF caught poaching more than once, you should lose your right to hunt or fish ever again!  It is these types of idiots that cause new laws we have to follow, cause areas to get closed.

If you read down. They were killing trophy bucks and taking the head only, trashing the rest. F$@# THEM! People like that suck!!!! So many hungry folks around. Wasting meat is just wrong.

I feel the same way about gun control. Why make more laws that will never be enforced by folks that don't enforce the laws already on the books only to feel like you did something about an identified problem at the expense of everyone that had absolutely nothing to so with it to begin with.

People like this will never follow the law. Suspending  his rights will not work either will probation. Take all of his weapons away. Better yet take him out in the back woods and let him walk home. Maybe the good old country folks can teach him a lesson or two.

Totally agree. But the judge seems to think that making him watching Bambi every month just might do the trick...

The sentence is punitive to the felon, and in that sense its individually targeted.  But its also supposed to deter others from acting, so there is a societal aim.

If a person has the mind a set to commit a crime be it a  felony or misdemeanor there going to commit the crime , and if that person thinks that they can make  capital gain from it that will only encourage them to do so. Watching a movie staring Bambi ludicrous. That's like getting dogs for the inmates in prison. San Fran just started a program buying back unauthorized gun. Good idea, but the problem is the wrong people are turning them in. Laws were created to safe guard are rights. Laws were meant hurt. Just as speeding tickets do.
