Lake has been slow. They are planting every week,500lbs this week.Just have to be at the right place at the right time. It's called fishing.Trolled at 20ft deep my lucky orange Seps 1+ in grub behind a wiggle fin, behind a seps dodger for the 6lber Also saw another trout around 6lbs and a catfish 5+ lbs caught off the bank using inflated night crawler, at the cleaning station.

Hi Ray,

Good to hear your hit your backyard lake.  I have not seen you in awhile.  I been there almost every week.  Best I have done is 4 trout (3 big ones and a DFG trout) a few weeks ago.  I always seem to get atleast one or two.  Trolling and doing the power bait thing.

I been using white eggs and a small thin wire j-hook with a white power bait worm tail.  Seems the fish like the movement of the tail.  But, my hook up ratio goes way down.  Thanks for the report.

Hi Frank,

Just waiting for the wind and seas to die down.  So, I can make it out of Half Moon Bay for Rockcod.

I would give you a call a few days before I go.
