Launched at the Delta Meadows ramp at 8am, off the water at 11:20am. Weather was nice, a little breezy at times. Tide was just starting to go out, so the water level was high. I was hoping for some cheesy areas to toss frogs but it must be too early. Only one real cheesy spot and that was at the ramp. I worked Railroad slough to the end. Caught 4 lmb on watermelon senkos. All were rather small. Sad to say that I did better than the other people I talked to. They all got little fish or nothing. Maybe it's a moon thing?

A few pics:

Cheesy at the ramp

First fish didn't want to hold still for the pic

Most productive area along the reeds.

Flowers along the bank.

Last fish.

As I read your report, I thought, "What is 'cheesy'?" And, wouldn't you know, just like a textbook, Al posts a pic to define it! I learn something new with each NCKA post I read. Thanks, Al!
