Saw this today and am sharing to remind everyone to be safe and never underestimate the ocean.

This is a very raw video of a tourist getting pummeled by waves at the arch at lands end in Cabo San Lucas.

I texted my buddy down there and he told me one person died and two others are seriously injured.

Not sure if this lady made it or not or if it's a separate incident all together.

This video is disturbing watch at your discretion

The more  I go to the ocean, the more I prepare.
Never get yourself in the situation in the first place is the best prevention.

I’ve kayaked out there before. The water is super squirrelly there coming in around those points. I had trouble launching into that surf when it wasn’t that bad. Typically you can’t walk out that far and most tourists shouldn’t. Hope she got out ok.

Could not imagine how helpless those people felt not being able not to help her. Hope she made it out alright. Makes you think twice about how dangerous the ocean can really get.

Was this during the hurricane that hit just south of there this week?  Bad day to be at the beach.

There was a hurricane that passed by and it turns out two people died from drowning. The hurricane was far away and didn't hit but affected the ocean conditions.
(just got an update text from my buddy).

The ocean on both the Pacific and Sea of Cortez have some dangerous beaches.

I've fished and dived up and down both sides down there. The ocean is beautiful but can be extremely deadly.  People drown there all the time but it's kept on the down low so it doesn't effect the tourism.

There is a lot of warning signs and red flags posted everywhere. The ocean can be deceptive in it's apparent calmness.
