Just bought 3.  One for myself and two as Xmas presents for my NCKA buddies... 

My wife and I enjoy using these rods during our lobster hoop netting trips to catching mackerels.
I also make sabiki to barbless to reduce potential hazards.

which size to buy, 7 or 8 foot?

7 is better for kayak fishing; that's what i have.

I have been using KastKing Royale Legend II Baitcasting Reel 7.2:1 Gear Ratios for my sabiki rod.  Didn't want to use a heavy-duty reel for catch baits.
