Great fish, those are some big fillets.

Nice work, that's a fat boy red. I'm going up there at the end of June, any suggestions on your favorite areas to fish and where my buddy and I can go for abs would be much appreciated. I've fished Van Damm and it seems like a good place for both, though I had terrible luck last fall?

Abs are everywhere up there. North or south of the put in have been better for me. When fishing I usually watch my FF, looking for good structure and marks, then drop on them. If you can dive you should have no problem finding decent size abs. Some of my largest were found in shallow water nobody looked in.

That is a really nice fish.  I have noticed that I have also been catching a lot more reds and coppers than last year.

YES!  YES!! and YES!!  I would be HONORED   I see all your posts in those NICE-CALM waters and I will take you up on your invite, if I may.  After I dampen myself a bit in the HMB tourney, I will be very interested in making the drive to get into some easy-waters and maybe a fish or two!
