LM bait/stripers

As of Last night the stripers were hitting the north cove of LM.  I was on my home and I saw 6 linesides being hauled up the beach. The water is like a lake and the wind is down. I am sure that will change as the weekend approaches. 

There was bait boat trolling back and forth in the twighlight as well.  Those intersted the evening and early morning bite has been the best.

Hey thanks for the intel.

I was at lm yesterday and saw pelicans hitting a bait ball in the middle about 100 yds out.

Now, i'm thinking of hitting lm tomorrow instead of pillar.

JTF hit LM today for nada, salmon or striper.  May still be too early for the salmon.  Wind is also picking up.  Maybe Pillar might be a better option with the south swell arriving.

I paddled 3 miles out from the point.  Lots of dolphins out there, lost of birds, no pelicans though, 2 small boats trolling about a mile out, 1 from the point, the other 2 miles south, those guys switched over to halibut from what I heard on the radio.  I did a big loop, trolled a blue fbr, kind of a warm up run. 

I didn't mark any bait whatsoever....

it appears there are hogs near pigeon pt. 

and now you can keep any rockfish you troll up there too.

salmon fishing seems ultra bad this year. what is up with that?

That might be worth a run but I got the impression it's pretty far offshore

My neighbor went out on the pb last weekend and they fished off Pedro and Montara 4 miles or so out. One salmon for them and 0 for most boats. There's lots of life out there; just no salmon. It's either too early or a repeat of last year.
