Hey Guys, my kayak comes with 4 built in rod holders, but I feel like buying ones that can mount on may be a better option. Any recommendations on mounted rod holders/brands/installation do's and dont's. Also any tips for keeping the paddles,GPS,net accessible without being in the way. Thanks guys!

Hi Mike,
I agree with Spiffy that you should take your time, get used to taking your boat on the water and fishing. For a long time I used my Scotty flush mount rod holders. As time went on, I started to fine tune feeling more comfortable where my rod holders were located so that I didn’t have to teach to far. After a couple of years , I installed 2 YakAttack GT 90 -8” anodized aluminum tracks on both sides of my Hobie Oasis Tandem and later my Revo 13. I liked the flexibility that the GT 90 tracks w/ Mighty Bolt mounts offered; especially for my Fish Finder.
I now use YakAttack mounts with my Scotty rod holder with a extension which is the perfect location for downrigging.
The GT 90 tracks are very narrow and super strong with a one piece metal backing/mounting plate in the hull.
Good luck on your kayak fishing journey!!
