Stripers are abundant at Linda Mar. My very first party boat experience was with the Royal Polaris. It backed all the way into the surf zone and let us catch stripers with live chovies. Back then salmon and halibut were the by-catch.

back in the day, we used to wait in the line up for a set to come in and remember seeing party boats come pretty close to the surf zone.  i thought we were gonna get hooked for sure
