Thanks to great directions from Pat I was able to drop my wife and son off at the Aquarium and then head out for some rockfish.  Launched around 10am and immediatley went too far out.  Got to about 150ft and found tons of Sardine.  At one point my FF read 10ft and then quickly marked back to 143.  After realizing my error, I headed back to close water and began fishing in front of Latitudes and on down. I didn't mark much and never caught a fish. I did read some good bottom and an occasional fish mark but my arsenol was not hitting today.  Talked to a couple of guys who said it was real slow. Saw sea otters exlpored and headed in.  I guess the next time I head back I will need some local guides.

Darn.  I hope the rest of your stay was enjoyable.

Anytime you can combine time on the water fishing with family time things are great!  Thanks again.
