Has anyone fished out of Fort Baker in the Marin Headlands? Any advice would be much appreciated. Randall

I have not but a quick search on the forum turns up lots of hits.  I found that the search is a good place to go for information. :smt006

I have (see my profile pic) a bunch of positives, a few negatives:

Positives - Easy parking and launch, great scenery, lots of fishing options (crab, rockies, halibut off beaches, salmon),
Bonita cove protected from NW swell and can land at beach there for a break

Negatives - Although there are fishing options, no sure things (always better options if only interest is to catch fish), Tides/Current/Weather

Biggest variable is the tides.  There are days where there is less than or around 1 foot of tide movement between high and low (great time to do it!), and days like this past weekend where the swing is close to 9 ft (no go!).

Hope this helps.
