So I went to Timber cove with a buddy last weekend even though the weather looked crappy, it was crappy 30 mile an hour winds 10-foot swells; went fishing anyway. I caught four small ones.  I got up early Sunday morning 5 a.m. out on the water by 5:30 by 10 I had a 32 inch Ling 26-inch Ling 18 inch cabezone one rock cod and a Vermilion. all in all it was an awesome time learned a lot about the rough waves though.  No wonder no other kayaker's we're there. Man what a exciting time big waves, big wind, big fish, big fun.  And I didn't drown!

Well you made the best out of it.  A lot of people donÂ’t waste the drive for 10 foot waves.

Which is probably why no one else was there.  It wasn't the waves it was the wind that was the real issue.  Made the swell turn into white caps.  Still it was scary, exciting, fun? Yes all those.

Even if it wasn't productive it was still fun.  The ocean is a blast.

Yes I love timber cove.  I don't have the experience to launch in anything but the smallest surf. it's only my third time on the ocean.  Looking forward to going out with ncka trips.  Whenever those are.
