Quinn's Lighthouse in Oakland on Embarcadero. I ate there 12 years ago, and it was fantastic! I had a meeting across the street today, and spotted it when I pulled in for the meeting. (2000 Embarcadero, Quinn's is across the street on the water)
I finished up and went in for lunch. I had a hard time picking my lunch off the menu, I wanted so many items! I settled on the seafood ravioli. WOW!
If you get the chance, check them out! Excellent setting, great staff and very good service!
Once in a while you find a place you just want to RAVE about, for me, this was it!
Live your life, the way you want to be remembered. Don't have any regrets, we only get this one dance to make it count. Start at your eulogy, and work backwards.

Love Quinn's. Especially upstairs on the balcony on a nice day. My pop used to take me there when it was a lot more blue collar in the '70s, so it's always been a special place to me.

There's theoretically a dock you can kayak to there, but I've yet to do it.

Also in the area with a confirmed easy-to-get-to dock for your kayak is Brotziet Lokal: housemade German sausage and things. GREAT beer selection, good food, really nice patio.

I'll take newbies there via yak from the Grand ramp in Alameda on calm days or from MLK shoreline for a recreational paddle. Always a hit.

I have a nephew that just moved to Oakland.  A kayak launch, a great meal, and a great kid to visit with.  I’m in.
