Been casting most of my own weights and jigjeads for a while now but my smelting pot isnt suited for 6 and 8 ounce heads runs out to fast and i dont like how it pours and mines about dead. If anyone has recommendations that would be dope. I currently use a lees smelting pot

Try using ladle and melt your lead in a cast iron pot if you’re doing big batches at a time. I get issues with my Lee pot getting clogged from time to time.

Second on the cast iron pot and ladle. I have a Coleman stove devoted to lead pouring.

I'll third the cast iron pot and ladle. I have one similar to the 20 pound pot, it holds a lot of lead.

Go to a thrift store or swap meet. I picked up a pot for less than $5.

It sounds like castiron pot and ladle is the way to go then

Just be careful cast iron can be prone to cracking at high temps. You don’t want +550 degree lead splashing on you. Even more ideal is a propane tank cut in half.
