It was a quick trip out in the old faithful Hobie Outback on the first week of rockfish season in Central California(South of Pigeon Point). As I said in the video, bait can be hard to find early in the season but I did manage to find a few willing baitfish that were then gobbled up by some unexacting Lingcod. I fished 50-60 feet of water and was able to catch my fish and get off the water before the wind picked up around noon. This is just the beginning of peak fishing season here in the Bay Area. Striped Bass, Halibut, Salmon, and Lingcod are just a few of the target species coming up soon on the channel. Thanks for watching! If you liked the video, please leave a like and share with your Die Hard Fishing buddies! Thank you for your support!

Hope to see some of you out on the water this year!

Where is the net????

+1

I was under the impression that it was a requirement...

28.65. General

(d)“...no person shall take finfish from any boat or other floating device in ocean waters without having a landing net in possession or available for immediate use to assist in landing undersize fish of species having minimum size limits; the opening of any such landing net shall be not less than eighteen inches in diameter.”

Nice Vid. Where do you unload, load and park at capitola?

Load/unload by the wharf and you can park for free up the hill by the trailer park.
I don't like stuff that sucks.
