First time out crab snaring by myself with one goal in mind: Catch a Keeper Crab. Not only did we do that, we got some cool underwater footage to see what really goes on under the water. If you liked this video, I would appreciate it if you could share it with your friends. If this video is successful, I will do more underwater videos!

Counting down the days till rockfish/salmon! Who is skipping Easter festivities to go chase some sea dragons?

Very cool underwater video, reminds me of the Fisherman's Life video posted some time ago of the same at Bolinas. Suspect the "sand dab" was a sand soul being in that shallow.

Thanks for posting!

Eating fresh crab while watching the footage and seeing all the ones I missed! All in a good day’s work out at the jetty!

Glad you enjoyed the video! You could be right on the “sand dab” that came to check out the crab snare. If only he came a little closer to get a better look. Hope to see more cool creatures next time!

I have never used a snare for crab but you make it look like a lot of fun and you got dinner as a huge plus.
Great job on the go-pro footage, it's always cool to see what's down there.
