Some of us are participating in a tournment this weekend. Is there a chance that we could get this price break during the remainder of this week. There is a reel/rod that I am interested in and would make the trip this week if the 20% is a bit more flexable because this weekend just isn't doable for some of us. Frank

Insert was supposed to be in Thursday's SJ Mercury News but my copy was missing the insert.  I'd already seen the flyer online (thanks to an email alert from the San Jose Flycasters) so I knew to drop by early for the 10% off pricing on kayaks.
 
One of the cashiers told me some other customers had reported their copy of the Merc was also lacking the insert...

Just picked up the Avet SX (20% off) and mounted it on the Trevela 30-80lb rod (10% off)........Sweeeeet. Had to pay for Spectra but Nick gave me 50% off and loaded it for me.
When we were in SD these rods were going for twice the price that I paid at Mel Cottons who's normal price is $99.95. Thanks for the discount guys will put it to good use this weekend.
Oh and by the way, just remind them about the sale and your good to go.

Found mine but only becuase I diligently combed through the paper.  It would have been VERY EASY to overlook!

FYI, the insert is not in every issue of the Merc. We had a distribution of around 100,000 but that does not cover many parts of the bay area, which is why we put it on the web in case people don't get it in the paper. Anyway, don't forget to pick up your free Great America ticket if you make a purchase over $100!

Zack - can you order a few of the Hobie Tackle boxes that insert into the middle hatch?  no one in SJ carries them.

The Free Great America passes are only happening Sat/Sun or should I have gotten some yesterday when I bought the Outback?

Great America Tickets? Didn't get mine and was well over the $100 mark. Couldn't make the weekend so I took of business yesterday. So do we get a break Zack?

If you made a purchase over $100 Thur-Sun of last week you can stop by during the day 9-5 with your receipt and I can hook you up with your ticket.
