Hit the Russian below memorial beach with Lost Coast Joe couple of evenings ago. We were fly fishing and had no takers. The water level was very low for this time of the year. Saw no signs of fish and the water temp appeared to be way up there. The river mouth has closed a couple of times so maybe that affected this years run. Only a few more weeks to wait for rock fish off the Sonoma coast !!! Get your stuff ready Lost Coast Joe!!

I don't care what Crazy Tom at OPS says, next time I'm off the 1/0 Clousers.  I think they sent the fish back down streem :smt011.

Hey who let these guys from Rohnert Park on here?  Just kidding, always good to see some more Sonoma County folk around.  Maybe I'll see you on the coast soon.

Let us know if the shad do start running, I'd like to try for them this year.  Maybe even from the kayak just to say I did.

Hey if you do get some shad. Keep em for crab bait. Supposed to be the best of all baits. Russian's going to pay for the skinny winter... It already looks like mid summer out there.
