Went out with my buddies yesterday morning. Took Steve and Craig's advice and put in at the lifeboat launch (down a hill from a locked gate, pretty easy). Launch was smooth, no challenges really. Fished incoming tide around the point hoping for salmon. Never really saw the right color water.  Paddled a few miles, and loved the scenery. Saw some elephant seal pups (mamma and pappa have moved on..) and just loved the morning. No wind to speak of.

As we trolled back in and switched over to halibut turf, we landed one (and released it) ling cod, about 20-21 inches.

A great day, catching notwithstanding.  Off the water at noon for Mother's Day lunch at the beach at Drakes Bay.

Thanks for the report Jeremy!   Glad to hear the launch is still doable there.  Beats an extra 3 miles of paddling, I think.  We saw some nice black water Saturday 2 miles past Pt Reyes Buoy - not sure when the green water took over.  We got few fish, but it sure looked fishier than that.

Sounds like you had a fun day!  See you out there next time maybe.
