went up to truckee as i was given a nice cabin for a few days, so i took a couple friends on their first yak fishing missions.donner the first day didnt treat us very well.(at all) tried everything possible but the maks and kokes werent having it.so we tryed stampede out the next day and did o.k. with a couple kokanee, but really liked stampede(cant wait to get a camping trip goin up there).also hiked the truckee at sunset to pick up a spare and got a few nice browns and a bow.all in all a great trip even though i was hoping for a little more wfo fishin.

Thanks for the report and pix, ride123. What were you using to fish for the kokanee? That's something I want to try soon (my shoepeg corn and fish oils are ready!) so I'll look forward to your post for a Stampede camping trip.

Cool.  When I was a pup we lived in Reno and I used to fish both of those lakes a LOT with my dad.
