Tuesday morning Mendo

Hit the water at 6:15 AM. Could still have gotten there earlier but that means getting up at 4:30. Ugh.
5 minutes into my paddle the bankies yell and point towards the south side of Crappie Cove. Big beautiful bust about a 10 minute paddle away. I just love chasing boils. It's a great workout with a lot of motivation. These fish stayed up the whole paddle there. It was obvious they were working the bait south along the bank, so I anticipated their route and got into them big time. I threw topwater first and as I worked the plug back towards me amongst the melee I see a fish jump out of water from left to right, landing face first into the plug. Fish on! So cool! As I fought this fish others were busting right next to me, so close that I pulled my second rod's hanging zoom completely out of the water fearing it would get noticed and get grabbed.
All these were nice fish.
A pb that was there 5 minutes before me hooked ZERO.
It was mostly over by 7 AM.
If I get to bed right after the Warriors win I should be able to get up for another shot tomorrow morning. You got to go when it's good!

Right on Juan! I have yet to get into the busts this year.It sure does get your juices flowing watching the boils in the distance as you paddle like a mutha.

Way to Juan! I love the early morning boils! I might try for an early morning Thursday paddle.

After pulling the Mendo grand slam last Friday and hearing stories like this... I sooooooooo want to get back there. I'm feeling the mojo big time.
