My magazine story featuring Chef Stefano at Big Sur is now hitting newstands. Look for the May 2007 edition of Western Outdoors magazine.

When I saw it this morning my heart skipped a beat. There's the Chef himself, stylin' in a full page photo. It brought me face to face with how much I miss the guy.

Steve was getting the upper hand on cancer when it went in for print. I was certain he would see it - he did read a pre-press version.

Other NCKA'ers pictured include Seabreeze and SCAllen.

Thanks Bill. It wasn’t the story I really wanted to tell. That would have been about a man more than a place, but then again I identify Chef so closely with magical Big Sur they are nearly synonymous in my mind.

I borrowed the May issue of WON from my dad this past weekend.  Really nice article, PAL.  Great pics of SCAllen, Pat, and Chef.  I need to get back down there soon!
