I first must say it is always good to see familiar, and new faces in the yakin' crowd. The weekend was fun!
I fished this morning, starting at the south end and ended up at Long Point where there were some huge boils. I never got in them. I hooked a smallish striper blind casting in the vicinity. Also, while entertaining myself hooking bluegills, a BIG largemouth attacks a hooked sunnie and swims away with it until my #4 pops. It was a cool thing to see!
Never really got into the stripers, they seemed to be active really early, then nada.
The shad showed better, still not great. They showed en masse as I was taking out.
Oh yeah, saw stripers in really shallow water, 2 feet. A first for me here. They were feeding but very spooky.
It was very hot and still with hardly any traffic.
Tomorrow's another day...
If you don't know where you're headed, any road could get you there.
