Not tossing any flies yet, though I'm pretty sure they would have taken flies this morning! As I was launching at the south end a bankie hooks up from a bunch of fish just at the edge of how far the gearchuckers can hit with their Kastmasters. There were fish working all around the near bouys. I made a cast at a single boil and it gets thumped right away. It makes a good hard run and pulls loose. Reeling it in I get hit two more times and loose both. My hook was bent open and the fish were pulling my drag out soley by how hard they were biting down on my Zoom. Great fun!
I caught three out of this bite and when it died down I notice fish over at longpoint. Got into them there as well. Hooked a big fish in 2 feet of water and it broke me off on a scary run. They fight hard in shallow water.
I hooked everything except one fish on zooms. The exception was on a snagged shad.
I was off the water by 9:30 AM.
I heard yesterday evevning was nice and that they boiled late.
The earlier, the better. They boiling real early, real aggressive.
I'm there tomorrow in a pb.

Tote, I wish I had pics. Didn't take the time for pics, don't know how to post pics.
Spider, the flukes are on a 1/8 oz jighead. The hook on the head is weak, you can't horse them to hard or else the hook bends out. I sometimes just use the lone worm hook if fishing real shallow water.
I went tonight and it was slow. They busted but not much or long.
Fish on!

Hey Juan.I've been using a regular wide gap bass hook ewg, then sliding one of those nail style weights or a piece of solder into the head. You can vary the weight by cutting the length and have a strong hook.
