tried on shore there for rockfish a few weeks ago and it looked great for yaks.(big rock structures just out of casting range from shore)
it'll be legal in a week and a half and i plan on giving it a go.

I suppose it matters on which side of Pigeon Pt you fish.  To the south rockfish opens on May 1st and to the north it opens on June 1st.  Does anyone know where the actual line lies?  Seems like it would be particularly tricky to figure out, especially if you're fishing the rocks in close.

Anything south of 37° 11'N is good. Keep an eye on your GPS :)

ride pm me, I have a couple launches south of there that are almost as fishy and
less fraught with access and legal issues.

Hey John, if you go in the summer, let me know. I want to give a try on fishing that place.
