Any mid week Sonoma rock fishers out there? It looks like the ocean is finally going to lay down next week. I'm thinking Thursday at Salt Point if it does flatten out. Any interest?

Are RF open in Sonoma? I thought it was just the South-Central and Northern Mgmt areas?

Maybe I read the regs wrong. I'll check it, but I thought we got an extra month this year...

Not till June 1 the southern group needs all the head start they can get :smt044.
Group IQ is inversely proportional to the size of the group.

RF is usally a July opener up here, I believe.  Opening June 1 gives us the extra month.

June 1 is a Friday...  That will definitely be hookey day for me!  Weather permitting, of course.

See you out there after then, though!

OMG, it's Cafe Craig!  Re-surfacing after a long winter of hibernation!!   :smt003  I've heard of "fair weather friends", but "rockfish season posters"...  Nice to see you back on the board.   :smt001

Thanks for the welcome back Eric!  Actually I wasn't planning on doing much rockfishing from the yak - pretty much just salmon fishing.   But I quickly learned a ton from watching and listening to the NCKA "pros" about rockfishing, and found out that it's a lot easier to feed myself on RF than it is on salmon.  At least last year it was...  Hopefully the salmon will show up at dux this year and it'll be more of an even split.

Diving, well... perhaps in a year.  Or two.  At minus tide.
