Yea, the long range doesn't look good right now. It is pretty far out so we can hope that it clears up.

Davenport early Saturday. If that goes well, I'll most likely do the same for Sunday...company welcome. If Dav. is too windy like it was yesterday, Santa Cruz. I'll be fishing both days either way, in and around SC.

According to this Davenport *might* be doable but we would not want to venture to far from shore.

Looks like Carmel bay is going to be pretty hairy but cannery Row looks fairly calm.

Oh and swell looks like it peaks Friday then declines so Sunday might be better than Saturday.

I had been thinking Davenport Sunday also, but may push it back a week or two, if the National Weather Svc is right:

.FRI...W WINDS 5 TO 15 KT...BECOMING NW 15 TO 25 KT IN THE AFTERNOON.
WIND WAVES 2 TO 4 FT. NW SWELL 8 TO 10 FT. A SLIGHT CHANCE OF SHOWERS.
.SAT...NW WINDS 20 TO 30 KT. WIND WAVES 4 TO 6 FT. NW SWELL 7 TO 9 FT.
.SUN...NW WINDS 15 TO 25 KT. WIND WAVES 3 TO 5 FT. NW SWELL 7 TO 9 FT.

Perhaps the forecast will improve...?   Monterey Bay is farther than I wanna drive...

I have a hotel in Monterey for the weekend with some friends.  we were going to try Stillwater, but if its rough may try cannery row.  If thats all shook up we will probably switch to tourist mode...

Yeah while Sunday is technically better than Saturday, I don't think it is good.  :smt013

I'm planning to get out Sunday in the Monterey area.  I finally got the FF mounted and need to test it out.  Also haven't been out for way too long.

Rockfish when you say you may try Cannery row do you mean the kelp 100 yards off shore.  I would definitely hook up with you in the area.

Let's see how the weather looks Friday.  Unless it's outrageous I would be up to at least drive down to take a look.

At this point I am leaning towards the pinnacles off of stillwater again for this Sunday. It will not be open to fishing much longer. Kimo

It seems Sunday will turn out to be a good day, based on the forecast. Have fun. Post a report after.
