Thanks guys...I know you don't really hate me...right?

Terry-The fluke was on a jig head. Sight casting to fish on top.

Pelican-Overcast days are generally good, the first day of an overcast and arriving low-pressure front are often epic days.

Frank-Hopefully it holds!

Bill-Hopefully it was a good roach coach!

Ab-I will work on the animation/sound/special effect thing.

Well I think I had a way better day. In the morning I had a con call, then followed by a 2 hour meeting in a freezing conference room. Pretty sweet. Then after a roach coach lunch, another 2.5 hour meeting in the ice box. I was about to pull the plug and call it a day when the boss comes over and I get stuck in a 45 minute conversation that could have waited but had to happen at 5.

In other words, I hate you Sean!!!!  :smt003
You need looking after!
Why Do I paddle a kayak instead of a float tube or a pontoon boat? I like seeing where I'm going not where I've been!
Paddle safe and wrap'em tight.

Dear Sean,

I hate you because:

1. you have all those different cool kayaks in your garage - with endless accessories - to play with.....
2. your a fisheries Biologist...which means you get "out" a lot....
3. you have a beautiful & cool wife who can cook-up a mean meal......
4. you have wonderful kids....who love the outdoors (and a cool dog with a cool name)
5. you live five minutes away from "striper city" (lake Mendo)....
6. you have a beautiful home in a really nice neighborhood....
7. your local fishing buddies are cops......
8. you have inlaws that live a minute away from ELK...
9. you can shoot turkeys from your backyard.....
10. you look like Vin Diesel......

I can go on but I think this is enough reason to hate you  :smt003

With love (and jealousy)

DUDE! I was SOOO close to calling in sick yesterday and heading up there. I don't hate you, Sean...I hate myself! The one thing that kept me from heading up there was the fact that my baitbucket was in Bob's boat.  :smt013

I also remember those posts from sean where it is cold, rainy, muddy and nothing gets caught.

(which are always well done too)

you get out enough, you will have those great days, thanks for sharing!

Exactly.  Fish a lot, and something good will happen eventually...fishing constantly just increases the frequency!

Damn, with that kind of results who needs rockfish, saltwater and a breaking wave in your face? Well, I guess I do. Self inflicted torture.

Sean, you make it look too easy. Atta boy!!

What?  You live 5 min from lake mendo.  Killin me!  If they had stripers in chabot I'd be all over it!!!  Although, I am 5 min from berkeley marina, alameda rockwall, chabot and just 2 min from lake temescal, its too small troll though, the striper fishin around here has been slow.  I do know where some locals are but their not of the consistant nature of the ones you guys get up there.  Nice fishing there Sean.  jtf..
