I'm in Lodi. I tend to lurk in the delta and foothill lakes around hwy 49 and fish hwy 4 and 88 areas too. Definate favorite is the ocean though.

In Placerville here. And yes, Shad is just around the corner. Let's have a shout out in the Hook-Up section when someone wants to do a float down the American.

Thanks to all of you for its answers, I am interested in fishing any species that swim in waters close to Sacramento; I have more availability of time on the week’s days.    My kayak is a tarpon 130T is not it more adequate to fish but I will do the intent.
Propose day hour and place and we are going to fish!!!

I just moved to Sac from Fres-hell and am now living about 1 min from the Howe Access :)  Unfortunately I will be out of town on the weekends for the next month or 2, but am available for evening fishing on weekdays.  I will be at Discovery park on Wed pm, not sure if I'll have the yaks or not...

Welcome

Hello, I also live in the Sacto area. Typically I fish Folsom, Nimbus, or a local reclamation ditch(don't laugh, its over 50 yards wide and over 6 miles long, and great for mallards and wood ducks!!). I am always looking for an excuse to go fishing.    Bill

Sanperpe-

Good to have you on the boards. Looks like there are plenty of guys around the Sac area to hit the water with. I'm up in Folsom... moved up from the Bay Area last Fall. Still trying to figure some of these places out but, I've been hitting Folsom Lake during the weekdays after work. Been doing okay on the bass and catfish. Can't wait to try my hand at shad and stripers if they ever come up the river. Keep you eye on the Hook Ups to see what's going on.
