I am going up this weekend if anyone wants to join me.

Are you camping somewhere or going just for a day?  Where do you plan on heading to?

I was thinking about just going for the day. I was going to drive up to silver lake, look and see what the lake looks like, then go up the hill to caples and see if the lake is fishible. Caples is a lot bigger lake with bigger fish on average. No plug is too big this time of year.

sixmhz, i got your email. I am going up tommorrow morning.  I will be leaving from lodi about 7:00.  Should put us on the water about 9am and we would have all day to fish. Leave a message on the board here as my email server has been spotty. I have a trailer that can haul 4 boats so room is almost never a problem, it just might be a little too much weight for my car to haul up the mountain if ever managed to have 6 people, 6 yaks and 6 gear sets in the car though.

Its going to be windy up there. I don't think it will be fishable in the wind.
