clear lake seems to be recovering from the cold snap and there are alot of boats on the water prepping for FLW tommorrow. The bite is returning and it feels like its getting ready to bust loose if we get some consistant sunshine. There is also a big bloom going on right now but sight fishing is still possible.  I fished the southend yesterday for 4 hours and took 13 and repeated today for about the same but slightly bigger fish. All fish were the standard issue 14-17 range and were taken on a weightless/weedless brush hog or a carolina lizard pattern. I also fished the big swim bait but took no victims.  I could see the larger fish lurking but I wasnt able to seduce. All fish were taken in 6'-10' of water.  I have to leave town to sell a kayak and visit friends, but clear lake may be the place to be this week/weekend.

Great sticker Terry-

Good to hear that the bass are still biting up there. I still want to give it one more try for a BIG HOG...

Nice report Terry! I'll have to try and get back over. I'm still trying to hook a nice sized smallie right now on Mendo, so it may be a while.

Cheers!

Nice catch terry , its funny I saw your post and I was wearing the T-Shirt that my daughter gave me for Xmas that says the same thing on the back. what was funny was that when she bought it she asked me if she should have bought the other shirt for Mooch it said
" Fish Snicker at the Mention of My Name"  :smt003
Group IQ is inversely proportional to the size of the group.
