I went out on Monday on the C-Gull out of Emeryville.  We trolled 2-4 miles west of Muir Beach.  I limited out in 3 hrs (sorry  no fish porn)  if conditions are good this weekend i will try to launch from that beach.  Anyone up to join me?  Also if anyone has any sage words of advice it is appreciated.

I may be headed out there Sat or Sun. I'll post up if its a go for me.

The gate usually doesn't open until 7ish on weekends so if you go early you can unload at the gate then park on Muir Woods Rd and Hwy 1. Bit of a walk but not the worst.

It's a schlep to North end of the beach but the waves tend to be smaller there.

I like to head straight out then troll North, if the wind picks up it'll blow you back in. Expect the beach and parking lot to be busy when you come in. I'll wheel my yak from the beach out of the parking lot, park it on the side road near the gate then walk over and get my truck. Load up quick, and leave room for the locals to get by.

The landing is almost always worse than the launch, watch for sets.

Bring rockfish/halibut rigs and fish the cove coming in (barbless of course if you have  salmon on board).

Stop for a pint at the Pelican Inn.

Good Luck, and might be joining ya.

I'll be out at Muir from about 10-2:00 tomorrow. Can't make it any earlier.... Hit me up on Ch. 69 if you make it out.

Michel,
Alex posted it in the 2017 Ocean Salmon Report in the Members Only tab. 7 more posts and you can see it.
The pinks aren't quite there yet and so scattered.

Going Fishing?
Winds from the south, hook in
    the mouth.
Wind from the east, bite the least.
Wind from the north, further off.
Wind from the west, bite the
    best.
