HMB shaker

Paul and I  ( Peddled)trolled for 15 miles in 200 ft of water off the towers in HMB. One shaker on watermelon apex. I feel like I just ran a marathon.

It will only get easier the more you do it.
The fish are scattered and it is pretty much hit and miss.
I am sure the more you hit it the less you will miss.

congrats anyways! where are the 'towers'. is this right off pillar point radar installation or north of there?

Did you try any shallower water? Any problem with jellies?

I might do a short trip out there just to try out the downrigger

wow, you guys really went for it.  By the look of LM the swell was pretty big. You guys must have really been craving some Salmon.

The radar tower is the point north of the harbor. It's a large white ball radar-Mavericks surf spot is in front of the point. Yes it was rough with 20 mph winds and 10-12 ft every 12 sec. (GREEN ROOM). I've caught alot of salmon, from my power boat, just west of the tower in 200 ft of water. We started trolling as soon as we cleared the reef just outside the harbor. I will be hitting this spot again soon-Let me know if anyone wants to join us. Paul and I are the father and son team in the Hobies that went under the gate with the large group in ?FEB.
