So I originally posted for a hookup today Sunday, but I decided to just go tomorrow, Monday, 7-10-17. Gonna go in the morning. Planning to hit the water by 0730 at browns ravine.

Spent about 6hrs on the water. First 5min of fishing i hookup with a 13" smallie. Then 3 spotted between 9"-11" in the following hour. Landed about 9 fish before 11am pretty much all around 10",  smallmouth, spotted, and largemouth. Once all the jet skis and wake boats hit the water, the bite completely shut down. Off the water by 1400. Not a terrible day but I'm not a big fan of fishing Folsom. Just wanted to test out the new yak.

How did you like your kayak?
“I’m going fishing.”  They said, “we will go with you.”

Great yak. Plenty of deck space. Was able to stand up but pretty shakey for me. I equate it to not being used to standing in a kayak and also I'm an XXL guy so there's a lot of top side weight in the yak when I'm standing. Gotta get my fat @$$ back in shape.

Seat is really comfy. Definitely a different world compared to my ok prowler 13 especially when it comes to paddling with any wind or wake in my face. Feels like I'm barely moving. But I think maybe I'm just used to a little bit faster yak that cuts thru the wind and swell better.
