Suddenly got a few hours free this afternoon, where to go???? I could not handle the thought of another skunk @ San Pablow Dam, be off the water by 6, and pay $13 dollars for the pleasure. So I thought of trying striper action east bay area by the Chevron plant. I book over to East Bay Bait to get some recent intel and they say Marin stripers are " Off the Hook " on White Fish Traps..... :smt012

OK, never tried over there, what the hell.. I wound up by Seminary, thats the area they said and found a area to launch with not much confidence building. I peered around the point to see a guy in waders throwing a white fish trap :smt003...Alright...It's true!!!

Long story longer.....Nada.....But nice to get out...I did see a couple jump, did not see bait or any other signs of life.....

Except for the fine specimens on the Sausalito jogging path :smt007..........Danglin

You are just gathering intel my friend. And thanks to that intel, you'll be there and ready when it breaks wide open. We are by nature optimists but not gamblers--we are persistent and calculating students of nature. We are methodical and, in the end, we prevail. But also in the end we respect nature and her bounty and appreciate our place in it all.

Well, at least that's how *I* think  :smt005

hey danglin--
did you launch by Acqua hotel? there is a great little dock there...the channel runs under the 101 bridge, then the points S, can hold good fish. The area around strawberry pt (probably where you saw the wader) can be really good- but again only for a few weeks a year.  i always have it on my calendar as around tax day...
Just N of the hotel there is a little marina/condo area- on the outgo this area can be amazing- but only for a few weeks a year.
