Marin Stripers: Sun 4/15

Took my jetlagged a$$ out to the Brickyard at high tide. Perfect water, really windy. No fish. Tons of bait, and ospreys working (got to see an osprey pick up either a short hallie or a flounder from about 30 feet away- while talking to ChuckE on mobile)
Did some errands
Ran over to a "secret spot"-- MYC launch, paddled over to Wizard's house (from coastside)
Managed two nice fish right off the bat, fat 20" female, followed by a skinny 19" male.
This followed 7 other little guys, and a few drops were all she wrote. 
Tons of bait in the water, good clarity and temp. All fish on a tiny little x-rap.

SteveS.... thanks for the call and the striper report.  It looks like the spring bite around San Pablo Bay may finally be on.  I hope so.  I've been looking forward to it for awhile.  The constant action of trolling for stripers is tough to beat.  Steve and I have had days where we've each caught and release over 30 stripers.  Most are schoolies, but there are always a nice fish in the mix.

Way to go! Im going to have to do that this year.

I saw you out there yesterday, in pretty tight to the rockwall off of Glenwood.  I know your MYC spot exactly because I live right up the street from there and am a member.  I've caught some nice Stripers from the MYC lawn.  Taking the (new) dog for a walk is now a nice excuse to flip a few casts.  Do you launch from the rock's there next to the road?  If I ever get the time, we could hook up and launch from the MYC docks.

where i launch depends on how lazy i am!  I either launch off the rocks there, or from loch lomond marina (and troll out).

Yes, he's a yellow lab/golden retriever mix.  We've had him about a month.
