JDOTY & DOTY Ab Rock Picking

I was sharing all the GS pics with my 11 year old today and asked him if he was interested in rock picking abs since he doesn't dive yet.

He then asked if he got an ab rock picking if he could enter it in JDOTY.
I told him I didn't know......

So can a rock picked ab be entered in JDOTY or DOTY???

I'm not opposed to anyone rock picking and yes they have to start somewhere.

The question was is it permitted in JDOTY and DOTY?

Correct Noah has had one since he was 11.
Cost the same as the adult one but no fishing license required.

I think it's fair, besides some times it's easier if you stick head in the water with a mask. He could always carry a pole spear for monkey face hiding next to it
