What is the rig/technique for catching sand dabs?

get  the larger-size sabilki rig, and tip with sqid bits (small bits).  some guys put a split shot above the rig as well as the terminal weight below the rig, in order to get the four of five hooks on the rig to lay flat on the sand.

When you get a hit, leave the rig down there to collect more dabs, and bring up multiples.

I use a sabiki as well, but the one thing I've noticed is that if I pull up less than 4 (4 hooks on the rig), the bottom hook is almost always the one that doesn't have a fish on it.

Went out with Aaron and used this meathod. Simply put,"Kicked Ass". Any of these guys from that area can put you on the fish. And man are they tasty.
