Hey scwafish I just nursed the stock tarpon rudder back to life with a 800lb block of cast iron a 12lb sledge hammer and a delicate touch   It was so twisted it wouldn't turn or lift, I basically had to straighten out everything but the screws

That's the second resurrection and I figure it'll stand 1 or 2 more but one of these days one of those parts won't survive my delicate touch

so I'm wondering if WS sells parts or are they one of those companies that likes to have you under a barrel  And if that's the case is there a better rudder I can stick on the thing?

Also the hatch lid seals keep coming loose   A year or so ago I took on a lot of water, I'm pretty sure that was the leaky spot

I'm planning to hinge the hatches anyway but I'm wondering what glue to use to stick the seals back on

Thanks, hope you're getting in more fishing than I am

Yes, you can get replacement parts from WS.

Feathercraft is usually considered one of the best aftermarket rudder set ups.

3M weatherstrip adhesive (available at good automotive supply stores) aka "yellow monkey snot (really) will glue a seal to damn near anything.  3M 5200 marine adhesive is also and excellent and available all over including Home Cheapo.  If you use use 5200 consider it permanent...it falls in love with poyethelene.

I used to use 3m 5200 on EVERYTHING. Now I use either GOOP or the snot Sean mentioned. One thing I found out about the 5200 is that it can take FOREVER to dry.
Before I did the pool-noodle-transducer-set-up I 3m'd my transducer to the hull.
It literally took one week to finally set.
I find that what I use now works fine.

Alright, now I got the tomorrow afternoon project lined up

It sounds like yellow snot is the best option

Now I have to see if I can hinge these suckers somehow, West Marine should have something

thanks guys
