1. Go to Google Directions:
2. Enter From: New York, NY
3. Enter To: Paris, France
4. Hit "Get Directions".  Note step #23. (Maybe an inflatable kayak and fishing gear would while away the time!)

It works the other way too, but results are in kilometers.
