I'm hoping someone is crafty...

I have a 2002 Nissan Frontier, and the padding (whatever) on the steering wheel is coming loose.  The covering is intact, the padding is coming loose from the internal frame of the wheel and will rotate just a bit.

With the airbag, it's not a run to the junkyard backyard DIY job.  Maybe there's a way to inject an adhesive to re-anchor it to the internal structure?

Anyone ever have something like this happen?  Is there a fix short of taking it into a dealership to have the wheel replaced?
