It's not round, so the diameter is not well-defined, kind of like a landing net...

In any case, I've got a 2014 AI, and the circumference in the widest place is 26.5", and it's also about 8.5" tall in the center. Of course, it is narrower than it is tall. Let me know if you want any more measurements.
