I picked up a spinning reel at Mel's last weekend.  I'm looking for a rod to pair it up.  Thinking of using it for stripers in the Bay and Forebay and maybe light RF.  Any ideas?

What your price range and line test?  I have a Bass pro shop 7' Bionic Blade thats pertty nice for the price. I got it on E-Bay for next to nothing.

10-15# test.  No more than $100.  So I'm probably fine with 7-7.5' bass rod?

Kevin, IMO: Shimano Clarus rods  :smt023 They are cheap but you can get them even cheaper during the Fisherman's Warehouse BIG sale on the 27th and 28th of this month :smt002

I'll be there with my kayak - manning the kayak fishing booth - representing NCKA  :headbang:

Ditto on the Clarus. And if the discounts go deep enough, even the Crucials may be in your price range. Niiiiiiiiiice...

I have the 7' 6-17 lb  nice rod 54.99 last one on the list don't think you can beat it I would compare it to the Shamino Compre with a little better guides and cork. I use it for Stripers LMB and steelies. oops forgot the link

A longer rod might do double duty for perching. cabelas has cheap 8'6", 8-12lb rods
on sale in november for as little as $25, $40 othertimes. light, sensitive, and kind of
disposable, which could be good for kayak fishing if you are hard on equipment.
